Dare 56: 'It is what it is'

An extra challenge with Dare 56, because it's the first of the month. Erin gives us the challenge to make this zendala just with a pencil!
I thought that was simple, it seemed the same as always, but ….. it felt totally different and not pleasant. Yeah, I will appreciate my Sakura pens much more from now on.
I'm not happy with the result, but 'it is what it is'.

On the site of Erin, The Bright Owl, your can see the zendala's of others and, if you wish, upload your own.

Thanks for visiting my blog and if you want to leave a comment behind: please do!

Have a great week and we'll probably meet tomorrow at the Diva's challenge!

In potlood was me dat nooit gelukt.

  3. Hoi Annemarie,

  5. I do wish I knew what everyone else had written to you above Annemarie, that is the trouble with only knowing your own language!!! I like your tile, I like the drawing in pencil and little areas of colour my only thing would be perhaps the large area of pink didn't do it justice. Are you having another go this week?

  6. I agree that it makes you appreciate our tools. I had thought about using colored pencils but decided not to. Always have to remember that it is about the process not the result.

  7. I don't know if I'll have time to do this one this week, but I am not thrilled with using a pencil, either. Yours looks pretty nice, though. :)

  8. I totally agree with you! But even though you didn't like it, your Zendala is lovely!

  9. I'm having so much fun looking at everybody's zendalas, and the comments as well. Almost all of us have "complained" about only pencil. But it was fun to try something new once we got over the "result" we are used to. Nice worki.

  12. I like it!! I do think the colored pencil adds to it, just a right amount of light and dark!

  14. I like what you said..."it is what it is". We do sometimes have to take that. Nonetheless, I think your Zendala is nice with various tangle patterns that fit in very together. I especially like the sides/edge of the circle. I'm terrible in knowing all those tangles.

  15. Good-morning/ afternoon Annmarie!

I really like the use of the red pencil and think that may have helped me like my design ( a bit) better...as you said, it is what it is...and a challenge/ dare is a challenge!!! I have not yet joined the Diva's challenge...might just need to go check it out! :)
